Why Historical & Live Monitoring Matter for Enterprises

Digital signature services often sit at the center of critical enterprise workflows contracts, invoices, regulatory filings, identity approvals, automated system documents. When something fails, the impact is immediate and highly visible.

Live monitoring allows teams to detect problems as they happen: rising failure rates, unreachable services, policy mismatches, certificate or key issues, or abnormal client behavior. Instead of reacting to customer complaints, operators can intervene before SLAs are breached.

Historical intelligence is equally important. Enterprises must be able to explain what happened yesterday, last week, or during an audit period. Trend data helps teams:

  • Prove service availability and performance

  • Investigate incidents and determine root cause

  • Understand capacity growth and plan scaling

  • Validate which policies, algorithms, or certificates were used

  • Support compliance, dispute resolution, and forensic reviews

Without history, there is no defensible evidence. Without live monitoring, there is no early warning.

Khatim sign server delivers both – real-time visibility for operations and long-term records for assurance.

Khatim’s Live Digital Signature Monitoring

Khatim’s digital signature platform provides a unified live view of your signing cluster so operators see immediately what’s processing, what’s failing, and where capacity is trending. The Live Chart dashboard shows transactions-per-second (TPS), success vs failure rates, and per-node behavior – all updated in real time. You can monitor clustered signing engines from a single screen or zoom into an individual node to inspect its request/response stream, recent errors, and throughput. This real-time visibility is essential for SLA management, incident response, and assuring customers that signing services are healthy and performant.

Detailed Digital Signature Statistics & Alerts

Khatim breaks digital signature statistics down into meaningful datasets so teams can understand usage and surface issues quickly:

Statistics (breakdowns):

  • Requests – successful vs failed signing requests.

  • Alerts – count of issues found during signing operations.

  • Policy – usage breakdown by configured signing policies.

  • Signature Format – types used (e.g., PKCS#1, PKCS#7, PAdES, XAdES, ASiC, JAdES etc.).

  • Signing Hash Algorithm – (RSA_SHA256, RSA_SHA512, etc.).

  • Client IP – which clients are sending requests.

  • Host IP – which signing nodes are processing requests.

  • Failures – categorized event logs generated when something goes wrong.

Failure examples (alert types included in email & daily summary):

  • UNACCEPTED_POLICY — policy is not available

  • PDF_NOT_FOUND / PDF_NOT_VALID — PDF missing or invalid

  • PDF_PAGE_NOT_FOUND / PDF_XY_COORD_NOT_FOUND — placement errors

  • PDF_IS_ENCRYPTED — password-protected PDFs

  • PDF_IS_CERTIFIED — document already certified

  • PDF_TS_NOT_FOUND / PDF_TS_NOT_TRUSTED — timestamping failures or untrusted TSAs

  • PDF_REV_NOT_FOUND / PDF_REV_NOT_TRUSTED — revocation retrieval/validation problems

  • KEY_NOT_FOUND / INVALID_CERT_ALIAS — signer key or alias issues

  • CERTIFICATE_EXPIRE — expired signer certificate

  • PDF_SIG_OVERLAPPED — annotation overlap conflict

  • SYSTEM_FAILURE — system-wide unexpected errors

  • INVALID_REQUEST_PARAM / INVALID_CREDENTIALS — malformed requests or auth failures

  • USER_CERT_REVOKED — signer certificate has been revoked

Every alert is logged, emailed to administrators if configured, and included in daily summary reports. This ensures operators are notified in time to remediate and that auditors have a complete record of incidents.

Historical Trends, Filtering & Drill-Down Analysis

Beyond live charts, Khatim provides rich historical digital signature trends so admins can investigate how the engine performed over time and correlate issues to changes in policy, client behavior, or infrastructure. Trend charts include:

  • Request trends – success and failure counts, TPS over time.

  • Failure trends – line graphs of failure types and frequency.

  • Policy trends – which digital signature policies were used and when.

  • Digital Signature algorithm trends – which hash/signature algorithms clients requested.

Powerful filters and drill-downs let you focus on the data that matters:

  • Filter by Host IP to inspect per-instance performance and identify a misbehaving node.

  • Filter by Client App name to analyze a customer’s usage or billing footprint.

  • Time windows: 7 days, 30 days, 1 year, or a custom range for forensic and capacity planning needs.

These historical views support capacity planning, SLA reporting, forensic investigations, and product-level enterprise analytics – all from a single operational UI.

Daily Summary Reports

Khatim signing server also creates daily summary reports along similar data points providing administrator a snapshot of what types of signatures were generated during the day, any failures and alerts.
